New additions

The other day I was feeding my fish in the pond when I noticed something dart amongst the pebbles. So I stayed still for a bit and this is what I saw. I think I counted at least 3 baby gold fish. There maybe more as it is so hard to see them because of their colour. Have to wait and see what colour they will change into by next summer.

  1. Hi Shashi, you’ve just reminded me why I miss having a pond. We decided against having one when we moved because it was always quite a lot of work to keep it clean and to look after the fish, but now I realise it was worth it because there was always something new to see. I don’t think Terry would appreciate me asking him to dig one, so I will keep quiet and enjoy yours from afar!

    1. Yes Barbara it does take lots of effort to look after the pond. Last year two fish died and one has to guess that they had caught some disease. So I had to treat the pond. Then we had to change the whole filtering system to get the pond water healthy again. But I enjoy watching the fish especially trying to spot the tiny ones. I think I counted 4 but I may be wrong. Let's see next year I will know when they have grown up. I will be able to spot them better.😄

  2. Awesome! It must have made you so happy! We had gold fish but with our frequent travelling, we decided to give them away.
