Resurfacing briefly.... Thank you!!!

Hello all,
First of all I would like to thank all you wonderful people for your very kind and lovely comments on my doll. Thank you so much.
I have not been very well since I returned so you will have to forgive my brief post. My blog anniversary nearly passed away without me noticing it. I was going to do something special for it but since I have not been well I will have to do it another day.  Thank you once again. Will be back when I feel better.

Still away

Hello to all. I have not been able to check in everyday. But today I managed to do so on my iphone and to my greatest surprise I got an email from Lucy Landry regarding the Gypsy Challenge saying that my doll won the Judges Choice award. I am so very thrilled as I did not expect it. There were so many wonderful dolls this year so I did not expect a win at all. Lucy won the Best of Show award please check out her doll it is absolutely awesome and so are her other dolls. I wish one day I can make it to the show. Here is the picture of my doll. I shall catch up with you all when I get back.

I made this little pin for my doll club pin swap, but unfortunately I am not going to be able to attend the meeting this time as I am away. I should have made it ages ago but as many projects this one progressed rather slowly too lol! Anyway I hope whoever gets it will like it.

Lurking body parts

I was trying to sort out my things a bit before going on my holiday when one thing lead to another and before I knew I had collected all these body parts which were lurking around everywhere. Now I pride myself in not collecting too many body parts but when I started coming across them everywhere it gave me great concern. Something somewhere is going wrong. I must be falling apart lol! I don't even remember some of these why I made them in the first place. I know there are few others around as well. So I think I have got to get my act together or I will end up having so many that they will start haunting me and driving me crazy lol!.

This is how far I got with her. I just about got her head on but I still need to do the face up a bit. I don't think I will be touching her now till I get back from India. So she will have to sit amongst the clutter until then.

Very slow progress

This doll is progressing so very slowly and I keep making mistakes which I should not really make. Hope I can get her done before our doll club meets.

This weekend

This weekend I was in Torquay. I think is one of Britain's best seafront. The day was beautiful so we spent some time just walking around. We went rather late in the evening so I was only able to take just a few pictures of the marina before it became dark.

Little something

I saw this peeping out of the bushes today. When the stalks started growing on this plant I didn't think they were very attractive and was wondering if I should remove this plant but after seeing this I don't think I will. I rather think the tiny flowers are very attractive. I have no idea what the name of the plant is.

Purple swap

I am getting ready for my purple swap doll. Just wondering which of these fabrics to use and in what order. Mmmm.. or do I go and buy yet more fabric? Lol!

Back from weekend trip

Back from where the hills are alive with the sound of music and you can go waltzing down the river to the music of Strauss. We landed there it was hot sunny and 30 degrees but the following day it was just 19 degrees and pouring with rain. Thankfully the next 2 days were lovely so all in all had a great time. So without much ado I shall share just a few pictures of lovely Vienna.
