Removing fb friends

 Today I was going through the friends list on my fb account.  I do this from time to time just to make sure there is no one there who is not supposed to be there. As I went through the list I found several friends whom I had to remove. It was so sad. These were friends who had passed. As I removed the names I felt a pang in my heart remembering them and how and where I had met them and had some lovey time together. It is a very sad feeling when you realise that they have gone away forever.

Not much happening here

 I thought I would be in my new home by now but unfortunately that has not happened yet. It will probably be in September now. So my crafting is not happening. Thank goodness I have my piano with me otherwise  I honestly would have gone a bit mad. Now I drive my husband and my piano teacher mad😂. My piano teacher has great faith in me and says I will be playing in concerts in 20 years time. So I told him he is too optimistic because I probably will be pushing daisies in 20 years time😂😂   

‘Cinderella in the round’

 Last Saturday I went to see Cinderella in the round. It was performed for a limited period so was lucky to get seats. The ballet was awesome. Performance and music was superb and the costumes were amazing. The ballet being adapted to be performed in the round arena was very skilfully done 

If it ever comes your way, don’t miss it. 

A small doll

 Since I am not in my own craft room and all my supplies are somewhere else, I thought I would make a small doll. She is about 10 and a half inches tall. She was inspired by Barbara Willis. One of my favourite doll artists. Found out that it takes the same amount of time to make a small doll as a bigger one. Had a lot of trouble stuffing and sewing the doll. I don’t have my regular tools with me and the machine decided to play up. I was not pleased with the hat so had to rip half of it off and the try and cover up all the mistakes 😄. I am not pleased with it still, but its  a bit better than the original one. Don’t know what to name her any suggestions 

Trying things

 

Since I seem to have a lot more time in hands here, I am watching youtube videos and getting some ideas. 

So I tried this fabric paper. It seemed easy to do and you know I only try out easy peasy stuff😀.  I wish I had brought a bit more tissue paper because I think the papers are not very evenly distributed. Anyway it is my first try. I am not sure if it will be good to make what I want to make but no harm in trying. I am not a journal making person so its not going to be a journal but something else. If I find its not going to work then I shall give away the piece to whoever wants it😊. I think I will give some gold accents to it. The true colour is not coming through in the picture . The colours are much more vibrant than this.

Just fooling around

I bought some gold water colour. It looked so good couldn’t resist😀. So i just scribbled something and used the gold, hope you can see it. I love it the way it shines. Lovely for cards I think
 

Just touching base

 Hello to anyone who might be reading my post. Although I suppose there won’t be many as I have been absent for sometime now. Many things have been happening one of the main things is my move. So I am living out of suitcases for the moment until our house is settled. I hope it will by the end of the summer. I am so tired of moving. So keep my spirits up I started by creating a very tiny doll. But to be honest  I can’t seem to concentrate, even though I want to create.

My last two ornaments for this year

 These are my last two ornaments for this year before I pack everything up for our move. I would like to make more but time is getting on and I am downsizing everything. Once I am settled in the new place I hope to get back to creating. I shall wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year .
