This and that

Yesterday when I looked out of the window this is what I saw. Not a great picture but somehow rainbows gives one a hope of a fine day tomorrow even though the weather forecast is a bit on the downside. I also made a start on my gypsy doll. As you might remember the fabrics I got in the kit to work with are not my cup of tea at all. I really shy away from fabrics that I cannot handle and this blue knit fabric is one of them. So since I have to use this fabric I decided I will use the tiniest of bit possible and so here is how I have used it. I am sorry I can't show the whole figure yet as it is for a challenge and I think it won't be fair for me to show the whole doll yet until the judging takes place. So even though my work has progressed much more than this I can't show it yet. It will be end of October when I will be able to show her. But wish me luck with her as she has really been a challenge to make. I will be away for a bit so until then bientôt

  1. Now that is a clever use of a tricky fabric Shashi! never would have thought of that.

  2. She's turning really beautiful and I'm sure she'll be wonderful!

  3. Shashi, she looks very lovely. She will turn out great...after all YOU are creating her! Great idea for the fabrics!!!!

  4. So far she is looking great. I think the small bit of blue, makes a lovely contrast to the gold.
