More Indian Inspiration

This time when I went to India I took some photos of subjects I thought I might like to paint. I decided to paint today and this is what I painted from the photo that I took. It is not exactly like the photo as I decided to choose what I wanted to paint from the photo. I found the figures in sarees really hard to paint so I just painted 2 lol! there were more ladies in the photo and some men. But I think it looks ok with just those two ladies standing and the lady sitting down. By the way the lady sitting down is selling chilled lassi (butter milk). I should have used some more techniques in painting that pot of chilled lassi but I just forgot to use them.

  1. Shashi I love this, what a wonderful scene... your painting is coming along famously you are clever :)

  2. Wow Shashi you are really getting good at this, I am very impressed! You would never know you had trouble with the sarees as they look very well done!!

  3. Lovely, Shashi! I love the joyful, free quality of your brushwork and your colors are beautiful!

  4. Shashi, this is your best so far! Truly a lovely painting. Aren't just tickled to death with it? If not, you should be!

Shashi, you are very good!! I tried oil painting many years ago but I wasn't dedicated enough to be good.

  6. Shashi, you must be really proud of this - it's wonderful! I hope you are going to display it somewhere.
