New Project
Just trying out a new project that was given in the free digital version of Cloth Paper and Scissors. It is a project by Pam Carriker. I am not good at following instructions so I find myself doing things. Lets hope I don't mess it up. But I made a mistake of sticking that piece of paper without cutting it out so now I have to improvise and make it look better lol! Any ideas to get that piece of paper out without tearing it?

It's coming along nicely, Shashi. I wish I could help with that paper, but unless it's water-soluble glue I wouldn't know how you could remove it. You may have to glue something over it..or paint over it, maybe. I'll be anxious to see it finished.
ReplyDeleteI agree with MaryO either glue something on top of it or paint over it.
ReplyDeleteJust remember that a mistake is an opportunity.
Yup, what they said (looking up). I am sure you will come up with something and it will be fantastic!
ReplyDeleteYour new project is coming along very nicely! That dark piece of paper bothers me too but I don't have any ideas of how to remove it. :(
ReplyDeleteMaybe you can find a piece of text that you can place over it.
Wish I could help you more.
It's coming along nicely, Shashi. I'd suggest the same as the others, probably leaning more to painting over it to help it blend in a little better. I'll look forward to seeing how this one finishes up.
ReplyDeletei think it looks great :D I wouldn't try taking the paper off as it might wreck whats there and you def. don't want to do that!
ReplyDeleteWow it's looking great! I am trying to learn a lot of different techniques myself with mixed-media. It's so much fun :)
ReplyDeleteOne of the best things about this type of collage is that you can layer it to death. So paint over it, glue something else over it, just go for it! It's coming along great!
ReplyDeleteI know it bothers you Shashi, but I wouldn't take it out. Maybe tone it down a little so it blends in better by sponging some of your background color over it? Otherwise you don't really have a focal point. Unless you are planning on adding something else? Looking good so far though!
ReplyDeleteIt's looking good to me - wish I was so creative..!
ReplyDeleteUp to my eyeballs since I got back from Stratford with a nightmare of a technical manuel translation...I'd rather be doing your project!
Hope you have a great week :)
What cha goin' to do with the paper when you get through with it? I do agree, the red rectangle does look a bit incongruous. Kind of catches your eye, first thing and right off the bat.
ReplyDelete:)
I haven't a clue how you would take it out- but like the others saud, you can always cover it with something else?
ReplyDeleteI sure like the colors, so pretty.
ReplyDeletetu sais vraiment tout faire Shashi ...
ReplyDeletegros bisous !!!
Hi Shashi...you just reminded me that I also have that article and I enjoyed having another read of it. Pam's work is stunning isn't it.
ReplyDeleteYours is coming along very nicely; the colours look great and I really like the leafy stamp you've used. I agree with the others that some dry acrylic paint or gesso over the top of the picture will tone it down nicely.
Hope you have a lovely weekend.
