Doll I made earlier in the year
Because of all the things going on in my life I couldn't post the picture of this doll which I had made earlier this year. She was a CIFI challenge doll. The theme for this year was under the sea. Her name is Aurelia and she is a jelly fish who rises ethereally from the depths of the sea floating silently by wherever the tide takes her. Her skirt lights up with fibre optic lights. Unfortunately the lights don't show up well in the picture except as bluish tint. I found it hard to depict the ethereal and floaty look of a jelly fish so she just looks like a ballerina lol!

The second picture give me the idea with her skirt and the lights. She's lovely anyway:)
ReplyDeleteLovely work Shashi! I love the concept and her face, as always is brilliant. The lights really enhance the jellyfish idea. Cool.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful - I like the idea of the lights. they do show up pretty well in the second picture.

ReplyDeleteOh, she's so lovely! Yes, I see the lights (what a brilliant idea for a jellyfish! and yes, she does look like she's billowing upwards in a graceful way. I love the beading on her legs, like seafoam and little air bubbles.

ReplyDeleteHi, Shashi
ReplyDeleteI have been remiss in visiting your lovely blog. Wow! What a glorious doll Aurelia is...and her skirt even lights up...amazing. Yes, she does look like a ballerina, but a very magical jelly fish doll too! You are so talented and I haven't forgotten about the 'Pay It Forward'...I still have to do the 'Our World Our Art' event beginning Feb. 11th through Feb. 25th for any blogger who wants to participate the host is Lisa Swiftka at 'A Whimsical Bohemian'. I have the link to her blog on my right side bar with the artful blue hand which will take you to her information page about the event.
Hope you are doing well and keeping warm this winter, and hope you are having a lovely New Year's beginning.
