Hello everybody. How time passes by so quickly. I cannot believe that I have been away from my blog for so long! Things that have kept me away this summer has been mainly my travel and my hubby’s health issues and several visitors coming for the summer. Anyway after so many hectic months there is a brief lull. Amongst my travels this summer one of the places i visited was the Rockies in Canada. I had a brilliant time. This is one of the things i picked up there which are so delicious ๐
Like many artists I seem to have this terrible compulsion to buy art stuff if I fall in love with it. These may seem like ordinary things and nothing to get excited about for others but for me they are so exciting.๐
Another place that I visited this summer was The Lake District. I have been there several times but I don’t seem tire of it. Of course since I was there and it is the birth place of the wonderful children’s writer Beatrix Potter I could not resist buying this sweet little book written by her.
Then there was this wonderful free class by the artist Karen Baker on the website Curious Mondo about making adorable elves so I had to have the clay. I hope to make an elf when I get a bit more time. I have even bought a mini oven in anticipation of that.
Now if only there were more than 24hrs in a day maybe just maybe I would be able to find time to create๐
The Rockies are gorgeous and those cookies are dangerous, so easy to eat them all lol they are so good! :)
ReplyDeleteYes Jen it was truely a dream come true. The mountains are magnificent.
DeleteYes, time does pass by and too quickly. Glad you had a wonderful time in your travels, Canada has many lovey places. The artist in you knew just what to select for those up coming projects... and those cookies look delicious!
ReplyDeleteBethann it was such an enjoyable trip. Not only the country is beautifu but the people are too
DeleteHow I wish we could have at least met for tea or something while you were here. Darn it.
ReplyDeleteYou are so like me Shashi in that I do buy things that mean something to me or that seem special..but, of course, have no significance at all to most other folk.....
Haven't seen any of those cookies around...are they maple flavoured? .. I should look for some. I do bake some maple scones every so often..with Canadian Maple Syrup... mmmmmm.. very tasty if I do say so myself..and, I do of course!
Yes Vee I wish we could have met up. Maybe there will be another time who knows. Yes those are maple flavoured ones and delicious. I think they are a touristy thing as we found them in all the tourist shops.
Deletesounds like a busy summer indeed ...i would love to visit the places you mentioned. Hope your husband's health issues are resolved. I also love to buy art supplies - well I did years ago but now it's almost all digital and i still have loads of art supplies when i like to do something in traditional mediums.
ReplyDeleteYou are so good with the digital stuff. I tried the digital stuff but my hands dont seem to work well doing it.
