Back on line

Dear friends , I am back on line at last. Before I go any further let me first wish you all a very Happy New Year and I hope it has started with all things nice for you. I have a lot of pictures to share from my holidays but I would first like to share the gifties and cards that were awaiting for me when I got home from my dear friends. Isabelle sent me this beautiful needle case. I couldn't believe it that Isabelle had stitched this specially for me. Just before Christmas I was searching for a needle case high and low and was not satisfied that was selling in the shops so you can imagine my delight when I got this beautiful needle case. Thank you Isabelle from the bottom of my heart, you must have read my mind! Open view of the needle case. I got this lovely card from Bella. Bella is actually a Standard Poodle. Her human mother is my friend. Well she is a special dog. Do you know she has a wonderful blog and she even writes to all her human friends. LOL! This is how the card looks when opened. Isn't is beautiful! This card is from my sweet little friend Denia who lives in France. She is a Hello Kitty fan and has a lovely blog. Thank you dear Denia. I got a double surprise from my dear friend Kai. She sent me this lovely altered tag and an ATC and this beautiful pin doll as a Birthday present. Kai thank you very much for this lovely gift. It was worth waiting for. That is all for now. I will try and catch up as soon as possible with you all.

Banana Holder

This is similar to Judi's Ornament holder except that it is made in wood and called Banana holder. But you know what I am going to use it as hee...he... you guessed it correct dolls! what else LOL!

Couldn't resist!

Tee... hee... I thought I wouldn't be posting anything today but I just couldn't resist posting this.This doll wants to be the tree top fairy and she is trying to climb the tree. Ha.. ha.. she hasn't got very far and I certainly am not going to help her up that tree LOL!

Carols at Royal Albert Hall

It is past midnight so I guess it is good morning now. I don't think I will have the time to write anything tomorrow as I am out whole day and will be back only the next day. I went to the Royal Albert Hall today to attend a carol concert. It was just lovely. The hall is in itself is very beautiful and I throughly enjoyed it.

My brother will be back home for Christmas. I am so happy about the news even though there are other things he needs to get sorted out regarding his health. At least just being at home should be in itself a good thing.

I am looking forward to seeing him soon.

The Christmas Spell!

Looks like my dolls are under the Christmas spell. Today while I walked past my tree I noticed that the three of these dolls were sleeping under the tree LOL! Perhaps that is why I too feel very sleepy today LOL!.

Bad news from home

Yesterday I had bad news from home. My brother was taken ill with chest pains while away from home. It seems that Christmas time brings bad news for these past 3 years for the family. It seems worse when it is so hard to get news from far away. At least today I was able to contact and get some news. He is stable but not out of the woods yet. Just praying that he will be able to get well to travel back home to be with his family for Christmas.

Not much to say

I have not posted much lately as I have been just busy shopping and wrapping up gifts etc. The usual thing at this time of the year. Just got a moment before I go to do my chores. I am listening to Classic FM at the moment which always gives some nice music and ofcourse this time of the year there is a lot of seasonal music mixed with the other classics and I love listening to it while working away. Finished my DIP

I have at last finished her. I have a bit of mixed feelings about this doll. I am not entirely satisfied with her. I thought she would look different but she did not turn out as I wanted her to. However I think I am getting better at doing the face entirely with acrylics. I seemed to be able to control my brush strokes better. I did not use gel pens for this doll's face. I only hope my cousin will like her. If not I will have her gladly back LOL! I don't know about you but I always feel a wrench when I part with my projects even if they are not good.

Walking in the air!

So here is what I am working on. She is a gift for my cousin who always encourages me, helps me in many ways with regard my dollmaking. I know he doesn't read this blog so I can post the picture here. I think he is going to be really surprised with this gift for Christmas. Hope he will like it even though it won't stand up to the competion of his really cute live dolls he has in the form of twins LOL! I am going to do paper embellishments on this one. Got a few ideas which I want to try out. This is my Christmas tree. For some reason I am just not able to take a very clear picture of this tree!
