My ornaments done and Pixie shoes

 Hello all my ornaments were all done and posted sorry forgot to take pictures of them. I have still one in the making but I won’t be able to post a picture yet because it is for a private swap between  Veronica and me so got to finish it first then after she receives it I will post shouldn’t be long though.

Now a note for someone who was looking for a pattern for the pixie boots I made sometime ago. I am sorry I don’t know the lady’s name as her profile does not come up in the comments so I don’t know how to contact her.  I have found the pattern. So whoever you are looking for this pattern please email me and I can send it to you. I am going to make another pair as they are rather lovely to make as gifts or Christmas tree ornaments.

Goodness me, it feels as though I have achieved a great amount but in actual fact i have only made this wee little thing. But at least I have done something!

 

Small beginnings

 Well its been a long time. Since I posted and I won’t be surprised that everyone would have stopped visiting my blog. I have been suffering from tendonitis in the arm which triggerred other muscle and tendon pains. Have been miserable for sometime. But after a lot of physio i am feeling much better. My creative muse also went to sleep but now i am trying to get motvated. So joined a Christmas ornament swap to get started. Here is the first one that i made. I think i can show it here as no one is checking my blog 😀. The face turned out rather strange. I seem to have lost touch with crafting a bit!

Been a while

 It has been a while since I posted here. Mainly because i have not been creating much. I seem to have developed tendonitis which is stopping me from doing too much of my hand . I did start two projects but have not got far because of this.. i shall pop round and check out your blogs

Just picked up a brush

I was sitting in my craft room wondering what I should do. I really was not in a mood to do much. Well thats the mood I have been in for some time. Then i picked up the brush and thought of having a go at some very easy flowers to paint. I had seen a video about how to paint easy flowers earlier. So did these. Very easy flowers and quick too. I think they would be nice for a card or something small to gift. Will have to try some more shapes.

 

It is getting better

I worked on the head a little bit more. Took off a little bit here and there and added a bit as well. I think it looks a little bit better. Have to do a bit more work. I think I need to work on the ears too as I don’t like them much but for now I can use it to hold on to they are handy.

 

Corrected a little bit

 So here is what I have done with the head now. Like the digital drawing I have brought the brows down a bit. I think I like it better. Still some work to be done but it’s getting there slowly. I have to start thinking how I am going to make her up. I think it will be a her.😄

An experiment

 As I was pondering how I should alter the sculpted head I got an idea to see how it would look if I drew over the image digitally. Itwould give me some idea as to how to proceed rectifying it. So here it is

So you can see what i have done. I thought the brows needed to come down a bit. Which will give the head a bit more forehead. I think I still need to rectify the eyes a little bi. But first i will do what I have drawn here. I like it better this way. I know it looks weird with the bright yellow but one has to imagine it white. I tried to draw the eyebrows but I couldn’t do it well so i rubbed it off.

Loosing my marbles?

 Its almost end of February! I thought I had posted in the new year but I just can’t remember. Maybe I did not post or has something eaten up my post😀?

Well I hope you all have been keeping well and safe. Have you all had your vaccines yet. I have had my first dose. All is good. If not hope you get it soon. 

I have not done much of craft work lately. I have intended to but either I could not find my pattern or when I found my pattern i did not have the right fabric. When i got the right fabric my pattern did the disappearing act. Then when i did manage to find it again and made a start i did not like the body fabric colour. So you see the end result is I have nothing to show. 

The other day I found this head which I had discarded because at that time I did not like it very much. Now when I look at it I think I can use it with a little bit of alteration. I am hoping I can get it right this time. 

This is the head at present. If you can add any constructive criticism I will be delighted to have them

Happy New Year!

 Do you find that inspite of this pandemic and most of us being stuck at home the year seems to have flown away. Thank goodness for our creativity, our friends and loved ones, neighbours and modern technology that we have been able to get by fairly ok. I know many have not been that fortunate so I really am thankful for all I have which has helped my get through this year. 

Now that we can see a light at the end of the tunnel lets pray and hope and wish that next year will be a more normal one. At the same time lets also not slip back to the old way of life but go into the new year being the new people that many of us have become. Being more considerate having community spirit, being kind in little ways no matter how small. Helping out in whatever way we can. Lets hope and pray that we do not forget what we all have gone through or going through. So here’s wishing everyone a Very Happy and Blessed New Year. We are not out of the woods yet but lets keep on fighting to get through this together.
