Doll workshop pictures

Finally these are some pictures of the doll workshop that I did in Chennai. I taught Papier. The pupils were extremely talented and so very enthusiastic. Even though most of them had never made a doll or even stitched they created beautiful dolls. I am so proud of them.
The youngest student that I ever had. A 12 year old the baby of the group, on the right. She did an excellent job of her doll.
Thats all for now folks!

  2. Shashi, I always look forward to your photos when you come home from India. You'll enjoy your lovely silk yarn from Kanchipuram, those colors are so vibrant! I loved seeing the dolls your studnets made and the faces made by the children at the wedding. What fun you had there! But we're glad to have you back with us again. I hope all is well with your dear husband, as well as your brother who had heart problems!

I've been TRYING to make dolls forever & mine STILL don't come out well, yet here you are with students new to doll making, and they come away with a beautifully done doll. I'll be right over! LOL! You are obviously an excellent teacher! I love seeing the students, working so industriously, and their completed dolls!
