On my way back

On my way back we stopped in Dubai for a day and a half. This is one of the famous hotels on the beach over there Jumeriah beach hotel and the beach.
While my husband was busy with his business meetings this is what I did there. I found a bead shop which is run by a Canadian lady and took a course in bead making. Here are some of my attempts. I enjoyed the course very much and loved the way the beads turn out. No matter what colour you mix or what you do they all look great. Mine are not perfect infact the red one has developed cracks but it was fun.
So here is a small puzzle for you to solve. This a bead that went disastrously wrong LOL. Can you guess what it was going to be? I will put the correct answers in a hat a do a draw and the winner will get a little surprise prize from me.

  2. Are these polymer clay beads? You did great in the class, Shashi!

I'm going to guess the bottom one was a little tree frog sitting on a cherry?

  6. Bong, bong, bong! That's Kai chiming in with the chorus! Definitely a tree frog clinging to a cherry! See, Shashi, how good you are at this bead-making despite one lil' accident? We can all tell what your bead was to BE!

  13. Lampwork!! Oh, I WANT to learn how to do that. Some day... In the meantime, just because I want my answer to be different, I am going to guess a grasshopper. (Though I'm pretty sure it's a frog...)

  15. Oh most definitely a little froggie. Maybe one of those tree frogs even? I'm always amazed when people do lampwork ... it looks so scary to do with that flame. :-)
