I am going through one of those phases where I have several dolls dancing in my head but finding no time to get them done. How frustrating that is! So I have started them all well 3 of them and I am doing bits and pieces on them whenever I am finding time. Here is this little fella. He is supposed to be an elf but not sure if he looks like an elf. I will have to wait and see how he turns out. At the moment he looks more like a monk LOL! Those are the colours I am going to use for his out fit. The printed fabric is actually one of my dresses which I was going to discard but thought better of it and I am going to cut it up and use it on him.

  1. Shashi, the color combination is just STUNNING! You really have an eye for color! And I LOVE the face on this doll! Very playful, as tho' saying, "Hmm, I wonder what mischief I can stir up next?" LOL! I would give anything to take a class from you! You have a very wonderful way with putting magic into your beautiful dolls!

  2. oooh I can't wait to see him finished Shashi... the fabric looks beautiful and I just know your doll will turn out to be amazing :)

  3. I think he might be a monk in training with that mischievous look on his face! You could do a whole monastery!!!

  4. Maybe he is a monk in training like Judi suggested, what a cute thought and I agree the look on his face spells "mischievous!" Great color choices!

  5. Shashi he is wonderful darling- and okay to your mind he looks like a monk but sweetie once you put his elf ears on there will be no doubting wot he is he is an elf!! and a very very pretty one at that and I love the colours and fabrics you have chosen- dont worry bout using your old dresses we CQers do that all the time- In my stash at present I have about 5 of my old dresses that I have cut up and others when they run out of clothes to cut up go op shopping and get some from the op shops and if theres a whole array of cream or white fabrics then dye dye dye your little heart away gggggg ioh bear made a poem rhyme then gggg
love the elf and the colours Go girl go!!
    love n hugs bear xoxoxoxoxo

  6. Lovely combination of colors Shashi. I agree with Judi about the mischievous look on his face. You are giving me some ideas about my own old clothes but will have to dig through the closet to look for them. LOL!

  7. I love his facial expression!!

  8. Glad you enjoyed the laughing baby video on my blog Sashi...lol... you must have been watching while I was uploading my crafty bits which is probably why you missed the painting first time. Thanks for all your lovely comments :)
