Rocking Girl Blogger Award!

Made me smile it is a lovely idea even though I am not sure that people who know me would call me that he... he.. but it is a fun idea. Thanks again Chris. Linda - Because I don't want her to feel left out since her poodle Isabella got this award. Also she is an awesome mixed media artist. Natalie - Because she is a very talented artist and I am a great fan of her. That was not hard actually!

Hard of hearing!!

It has been a while since I posted. My doll refused to move forward so I left her alone for a while till she got over her tantrum. Now she is taking shape but I don't want to show her yet till she is done. However while she was having a tantrum I started the Charmed One in Sherry's class. I nearly had a disaster with this one. He jumped out of my hand while I was glueing him down and you can imagine I had glue all over the carpet, my skirt and well where I shouldn't have been working, my chest of drawers. Anyway I managed to get all that cleaned. Don't look too closely at his ears he has a hearing aid. I forgot to sew the ears on before painting so they were sort of sticking out, not that the hearing aid helped but it looks much better LOL!.

What I have been upto

I have been busy sorting out some parcels and working on my DIP. She is going to have some of those petals on her but I am a bit stuck as to what I should do from here on on her. So I am off to do some shopping and mailing the parcels. Hopefully when I get back I will have some ideas.

He is done

Here is Twinkle! I have named him Twinkle as he has got that mischeivious twinkle in his eye which suggests that he is planning some mischief in his little head. LOL! His hat is a dried seed pod which a street vendor was selling in Calcutta and I thought that it would make a lovely hat for a doll. I have not clue as to what seed it might be. Here are some pictures of my doll class. I had a class full 10 of very enthusiastic ladies. Sadly none of the students finished their dolls. They have promised me that they will finish it and send me some pictures so I will then post the pictures of the finished dolls.

Tee..hee. in the news!!

It came as a real surprise when my cousin came and said to me, come on get ready, you have an interview with the newspapers. My jaw nearly dropped as I was not ready for this. I went to meet them wondering what on earth they were going to ask me. It all turned out quite ok. I really didn't expect it to be printed as there was so many more important things happening in the city and the world. Who would pay attention to a simple doll artist eh? But it was a pleasant surprise to see it appear yesterday morning in the newspaper. So here it is. The lady did a good job of the article. I must apologise to all my blogging friends for not posting comments. I have visited all your blogs and enjoyed your eye candies. Unfortunately I have not been able to post comments for some reason. Either it takes me ages to open up pages or the comments section just doesn't open up so I have given up on that till I get home. Thanks once again for visiting and for all the lovely comments.
