Have to finish all the food stuff in the fridge as this will be my last day of cooking for 2 weeks.
Sharing a little of my life and how my imagination takes shape into art dolls.

Biting the bullet and Last day of cooking
Ok I am biting the bullet and swallowing my pride and everything else to show you these studies I did out in London. Oh they are terrible I know, probably becauase I have not been 100% well or that is my excuse at least. I uploaded these several times and deleted them but at last I thought I need to get some critic so please don't be just kind and say nice things about these paintings just tell me where I am going wrong and where I need to improve if you can.

I like the angle of the stone doorway painting a lot. I think you're doing well and have no clues about watercolor to add anything useful. :-)
ReplyDeleteAh chicken curry, that's my husband's favorite. I tried a thai version but added too much coconut milk and not enough spices (he likes it super hot and I'm more of a super mild person). Have a good trip!
ONE QUESTION: What time is dinner? YUM!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could help, Shashi, but I can't- I put my watercolors away because I was making a muddy mess- LOL! To my eyes, your paintings are gorgeous and I aspire to get to where you are with watercolors. Perhaps Mary O. would be the one to ask. She does lovely watercolor work.
ReplyDeleteP.S.- dinner looks divine- yummmmm!!!!Have a great trip and come home safe and sound. I always miss you when you are gone ;)
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore chicken curry but only get to cook it a couple of times a year since my husband dislikes it. It looks so good that you are making me hungry, LOL.
ReplyDeleteI would love to help you with your watercolor studies but I'm afraid I don't know enough to be helpful. Maybe they needed more definition?
Have a wonderful, safe, trip and I hope you get lots of students for your doll class. I'll miss you!
I really like the door, too! You shouldn't be so sever with yourself.
ReplyDeleteYour chicken curry sounds and looks delicious.
A bientôt, Shashi ! Big hugs.
I wish I could help Shashi, but I am only a "wannabe" as far as watercolor goes. Dinner looks divine though! Have a great trip and check in once in a while if you can.
ReplyDeleteThe door is my favorite also and they all loom wonderful to me, soryy no help!! The chicken curry looks divine, yum!!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds delicious!!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice trip, then.
Love and Hugs,
Flo
PS: I like your paintings!! They're not bad at all!
I really like the second piece - the doorway. It's really cool, I love the texture and color palette.
ReplyDeleteLOL! Shashi, it seems we all have too little experience with watercolor to be of any help to you. I think your sketches are terrific. I tend to draw in pencil or ink and then add color after the fact, but that's because I'm still an amateur with WC.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeletego easy on yourself - your watercolours are great !
The curry looks yummy :)
Just checking to see if you are home yet. Guess you are still in India as there are no new posts from you. Hope your trip is wonderful- and hurry home!
ReplyDeleteBut I DO Love them! And let me just say, I wouldn't change a thing! They have a wonderful dream like quality, rich in color and texture and are a unique vision of the world, singular unto you! My only advice to offer is create More! More!
