Photo a week 3

Today I decided to take a long walk and also visit our local arts museum which I am ashamed to say I have not done yet. I also took my camera along with me to see if I could get some pictures. Unfortunately the museum was closed and I couldn't get inspired enough to find anything interesting on the way. I came home and wandered into my garden. I came upon this nest. I think the birdie must have started nesting before we had our heavy rains. Poor dear has I think lost the nest it is all soggy now. I don't remember seeing that nest there before last year. There were signs of coming of spring everywhere......
This will open into a beautiful pink Camellia soon.
Another shrub full of buds
The sun was playing hide and seek when I managed to just about catch it. It was about 12.30 this afternoon but it looks as though it is in the evening.

  1. Love the nest. I always heard that if you find a nest, new life is going to be heading your way, maybe new life in a creative way, or employment way, something... So seems like you have something new coming your way. I enjoyed your garden photos.

  9. Yes, spring is coming, but the days are still so gray and dreary, just like that last sky. The *promise* of a little color does pick up the spirits a little even so!

  12. Shashi, dear, I am ashamed to say I did not know you were doing the Photo a Week thing! How did I miss that? You must think I'm terrible not responding to any of your posts. I'm so sorry. These photos are just gorgeous. I'm happy that it's beginning to look like spring in the UK, it's still winter here and not even a crocus has appeared yet. Maybe I'll go out today and see if I can find some sign of them!

  14. Perhaps another feathered couple will claim the nest and complete it after it dries out.

Your plants all look so healthy and bursting with new life. Love the photo of the tree and can just imagine how pretty it will be when all its new leaves open. Great photos, Shashi!
