Every year for every Christmas come what may I always make a Christmas doll. This year thought I would make Sherry Goshan's new sew doll for Christmas and this is my rendition of her class doll.

I may not be able to get on the computer much as my husband is going into hospital for surgery so if you don't hear from me much you know why. Hope everyone's festive preparations are going well. I did some decorating as I know I won't have much time later.  This year I decided for the first time to have a real Christmas tree as well so decorated two trees. Amazing that I had so many decorations that it was enough for 2 trees infact I could have decorated another tree with my decorations. I am a Christmas decoration addict lol. Every year I like to browse through shops and if I find anything I like and unusual I buy. So all these decorations are collected over the years. Some you can't get anymore. I also keep little bits that fall off or get broken from the decorations and use them on my dolls. This doll has most of its embellishments from bits that fell off other decoration pieces.
Well I will pop back to wish you all but in the mean time take care and enjoy the festive season.
Here are my 2 trees the first one is the artificial one and the second is the real one

Ornament Swap

I made this ornament for a swap. As you can see I made this little dwelling place for my cuties so that they could travel in style in first class comfort to Sue's house. They have arrived safe and sound just in time for thanksgiving.

Hmmm to show or not to show.

This is Neel Kamal. She  was made for the Gypsy Challenge but in the end I decided not to enter her as she is not really that great. I wanted her to look a bit different but it didn't work out. Oh well you win some and you loose some.

Small project

This is a small project that I am doing for a swap. Couldn't resist showing these as I find them rather cute if I may say so. It is a small group where we are doing an ornament swap. I know at least one person from that group might see this but they won't still have an idea of what it is I am making tee.. hee.... Actually it is almost complete and I am thinking of making one for myself too as they are so easy to make.

Another month gone

Another month seems to have flown by. Sorry I have been neglecting my blog but life has been throwing spanners at me so it has been hard to be creative with all that is going on. However I did notice that it is my blogovarsary tomorrow and I have really nothing much to celebrate it with. I did want to do something special for you all as a thank you for your support all these years but couldn't organise anything. However, I did not want this day to pass without giving you something so here is a little pendant that I made sometime ago which I will give away.  If you would like to take part in it do leave a comment and I shall do a draw on the 2nd of Nov to chose a winner.

Today I found these beautiful leaves which my smoke bush has shed. I don't think I have seen them like this before so I am wondering if some decease got them. Whatever it is they look gorgeous. Don' t you think so?

Pay it forward gifts

Whew! at last my pay it forward gifts reached their destination safely. My it has taken them long to reach. Perhaps these tiny little girls just decided to wander around a bit and see the world before they went to their homes. I am happy they are home at last.  It was a pleasure to create these girls for Teresa of Magical Whimsy, Beverley of Rhissana and Sharon of Sewn Seabees Crafty-and-vintage-musings. Enjoy them ladies.

Where is this going?

I think you know where this is going don't you? If I get this cut and sewn that would be some acheivement. Oh by the way I am not sitting here and gorging my self with chocholates. Infact I hardly eat chocholates but people tend to always give me chocholates. I guess it is like flowers when people don't know what else to give they give flowers or chocholates. Even I do the same so can't complain it is the thought behind. Hope you all are having a lovely creative day.

Umbrella fit for a Princess?

After making some umbrellas from free patterns I decided to make one of my own  as I was not very happy with ones I had made. I wanted to make something that looked magical. So came up with my own version. Having made it once now I think I know how to get it fine tuned.

After a long absence

Hello everybody. It has been a long time since I posted on my blog. I didn't fall off the edge of the earth but due to health issues of my husband I have not been able to get on to the computer long enough to post or have felt like blogging lately. However I thought I should not neglect you all for any longer. I do hope I am not talking to myself while you all have done the disappearing act lol!
So without much ado let me first thank Peggy for this beautiful picture which I was lucky enough to win in her blog give away. Thank you Peggy it is beautiful and the picture does not do it justice at all. Do go and have a look at Peggy's blog it is beautiful.

I will try and catch up with all your blogs. I have tried to visit every now and then but simply have not been able to comment on blogs as I seem to be so exhausted at the end of the day that I start drooping on the computer.
Creatively I have not done much either I just about managed to finish my Pay it forward for the 3 ladies who signed up to play. I will post some pictures once they receive the items.

Class with Arley Berryhill

This my mermaid that I made in Arley's Class. I usually make much smaller dolls so believe it or not I just could not get this doll's hands right as they were twice bigger than what I make. The doll may not have turned out great but I sure did have lots of fun in Arley's class. He is a wonderful and generous teacher giving us lots of tips and showing us tricks  as he goes along.  Thank you for the wonderful class Arley I had a great time learning from you.

I have yet to complete her embellishments,  which I don't know when I will do. Hope she doesn't turn out to be another DIP like so many of my other class dolls have been lol!

Back at last

I am back at last from my travels. Before I left I couldn't find the time to share with you these lovely gifts I recieved .
This is a beautiful broach made by Rengine. It is so delicate looking the picture does not do any justice to it. Please visit her blog she does amazing work. She also sent me some lovely trims and beads from Istanbul. Thank you Rengine.

The lovely little broach was sent by Joy. Joy sells some luscious doll hair which I love and she is a lovely lady to do business with. Her website link is http://thingsilike.net/. Thank you for the prompt service and also for the little gift Joy.

I will be travelling again so thought I would leave you with these images of my table doll for CIFI.
She was put together rather quickly but still I feel a pang when I have to part with my dolls. Hopefully Emeralda will be going to a loving home. I have not been able to visit any blogs lately as I have been very busy but will do so when I get back from my travels. So take care all.

Alienore's Birthday Party

Everyone was looking forward to this big event eagerly and counting the days. The excitement mounted but alas disaster struck the day before the party!! Mum came down with a bad bout of stiff neck and could not raise her hand even. However after a lot of massaging and streching and applying ointments today she is able to sit straight without pain.  So we decided although we are a little bit late but still the birthday celebrations for Alienor can be extended a little bit longer.

So as soon as the chef came to know that the party was going ahead today he jumped up with glee. Infact he was so happy that he had one too many and started dancing about!

He made one big large bowl of candy and before it came to the table it was suspiciously looking a bit depleted.

Strawberries and cream made some wonderful goodies to eat and arranged them on her table.

there were lots of puddings..

icecreams, cakes and desserts.

Nightingale brought her little flower instruments along to play and sing

Sujii the silk fairy sang a lovely song

The woodland undergrowth fairy queen made her rare appearance to spread her magic.

Exoteeque quickly made himself comfortable and made sure he got the best seat.

Wave the mermaid made it just in time as she had to come on her horse Shore from the deep sea.
Little Pippa was there eagerly waiting for the party to begin.
Infact everyone was looking at the door expectantly and holding their breath when....

they heard the door open slowly and heard the rustle of silk and tinkling of anklets...... at last Apsara the gypsy dancer had arrived to dance for Alienore!

After all the dancing and singing was over everyone gathered around the table for a final photo session before they could dive in and have the goodies to eat. Little Tricksy could hardly wait to get started she almost had her hand in the bowl of candies before being told off by the others.

Everyone brought lots and lots of flowers and the whole house was filled with their fragrance.
A wonderful day was had by all.
Hope Alienor was not exhausted by the extended tea party.
I am sure the party is still going on and if you want to join in you can go HERE and get merry.

Little peeks

I don't know why I keep showing you just the feet...

Maybe I will show you a bit of the skirt too and then once she is complete decide if it is worth showing the whole doll.

Spring is here I think? The gorgeous peony is just unfurling its petals in my garden.

Love the intense pink colour of this Rhods.
