"I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn't say any other way-things I had no words for." ~ Georgia O'Keeffe

Wow two posts in a day  that is amazing for me!! I was reading a post about why some people are not able to comment on some blogs. It has happened to me so if you want to know why you have not been able to comment on some blogs or some may not even know that people are not able to comment in their blog go here http://downourcountryroad.blogspot.com/2012/01/cant-leave-comment-not-getting-comments.html all will be revealed. Do let the person whose blog you cannot comment as well know.

  1. Hi Norma,

It's an Internet Explorer issue because it can't read the new HTML5 coding that a lot of blog hosts are using nowadays. The embedded comment form uses this coding, hence all the issues for people using Internet Explorer.

The best thing they can do is switch to Firefox, Chrome or Opera because Internet Explorer HTML5 issues aren't just to do with the Embedded Comment Form. My blog doesn't fully load in Internet Explorer...the footer is missing and the 'Show All' link on my blog lists doesn't work...yet my blog loads perfectly in all other browsers. My friend had trouble with her Followers list disappearing when viewed in Internet Explorer...as soon as she switched to Chrome, no more issues. Other browsers are better at reading the HTML5 code because they upgrade regularly to meet the criteria. I'm sure when Internet Explorer 10 finally comes out, it will support HTML5 coding and there will be less issues.

A quick fix is the pop-up comment form for the embedded comment issue but it won't fix the other problems for people using Internet Explorer. Microsoft need to get their act together and upgrade their browser more than once a year.

  2. So sorry Shashi, it just dawned on me that I called you Norma. I've not long got up so I'm still half asleep. My apologies. xo

  3. Thank you so much for this Shahsi. I don't use Blogger but I set up a blog for my mum's choir on Blogger and she wasn't getting any comments and I think that was why. Thank you, thank you for helping us with that.

  4. Oh well done for posting this link Shashi, I use fireox, but I have so often had e-mails from people telling me they can't comment. Microsoft just seem to do whatever they want, and don't care because so many people use IE, because they don't know much about the alternatives!

  5. Interesting. Thanks for the info. I'll have to go check it out.
Love the Pixie Shoes as I do all your creations.
    Luv & Hugs
