My canvas is done
I finished my canvas. The skirt and her body parts are made of silk ribbon. Her top is made out of felt and her umbrella is made out of paperclay. Her hair out of silk floss. Background is painted with acrylic colours.
I wasn't quite understanding the concept until you posted the second part. Now that it's finished, job well done Shashi. It's lovely and would work in so many homes. We have a ton of rain here...hint hint... roflol....
Thank you Ramona. I can relate to this picture living in England quite easily. Rain and wind and people going about their business holding an umbrella :-)
Oh, Shashi this is lovely!! I've been having a hard time keeping up with blogs lately...because ever since silly old Bloglines changed things...I haven't had it on my computer ...can't figure out how to get it either.... so I end up going to Blog reading thingy...but, everybody is not on there ..I must update that.. now I have to scroll backwards to see how this evolved .....
It has come out REAL Lovely .. the image the textures you have chosen for different things and the atmosphere of rain lashing and the prospect of jumping into a puddle ...very exciting! I ABSOLUTELY loved this Shashi ..its adorable .. the background paints and the use of various mediums have given it a 3D painting like effect. A story in itself ! Beautiful :)
