This was a long ago project that was started in Sherry Goshan's group but I fell by the way side and did not complete it. A few days back I came across it while I was searching for something. It feels like story of my life that I find things that I have long forgotten about which come to light when I am searching for something entirely different :-) I have decided that it is about time that I completed it. The doll body is a pattern by Sherry Goshan's and the head pattern is by Marie Anne of Dollmakers Journey.
I have been searching for the right fabric for her skirt and this is what I think will look good on her
She'll soon be ready to show off to the world now. What a gorgeous green silk. Red and Green is such a fabulous combination.
ReplyDeleteYes I do rather like this green
DeleteI'm like that too - I find things all the time I started and never finished. She'll be great - love the pose she's in right now. I use to have long slim legs like that - a long time ago, lol.
ReplyDeleteSandy lucky you I never had such long lovely legs even long time ago
DeleteI find that I tend to use the same colour combinations over and over unconsciously. I guess it's what you inner muse is drawn to:)
ReplyDeleteIt must be so because I have another long ago project which I want to finish and it has red too.:-)
DeleteShe's a very beautiful doll and I'm glad you found her. She'll look gorgeous in the green. I have a few dolls that I've put aside and hope to complete one day.
ReplyDeleteOne needs to get that mind set to finish them. I seem to have got it this time lets see how long it will last:-)
DeleteThe green will look lovely :)
ReplyDeleteI think it does make the doll pop a bit with this green
ReplyDeleteOh! so this is Spring's half done form !!
ReplyDeleteBut she sure looks as sassy as her completed self ..just a bit pale ..
Glad you completed it Shashi as its a beautiful doll :)
