Slow progress

At last the head is done. for a body that has been sitting around over a year. Not entirely happy with it but it will have to do. I think I have lost touch not having done much dollmaking for two years. Now I geuss I will procrastinate over it, should I fix the head to the body first and the do the costuming or do the costuming first and then fix the head😀. I usually fix the head first, but the costuming is going to be different for this one so it might be better that I fix the head later . We shall see.

  1. I suppose it does sometimes depend on the costume...but, I like to attach the head first...to make sure it looks right before I begin to add clothes or costume...
I like the head ... .. I was surprised that you got some needle sculpting done on little Fiona..just because she is so tiny. How big is this one?

  2. This one probably will be about 13-14 inches I think. Yes i too attach everything first before I start costuming but with this one I am just wondering.

  4. Throw some wool or something on her head and have a look what she will be like with hair ... or ... will she wear a hat? ... put a paper one on for now and have a second look.... maybe it will give you a clue as to what to do next....
I'm still playing with coloured papers and beads and organizing a Christmas recipe binder I have .. so not even thinking about bears, dolls or other crafty stuff .. yet..... yesterday was a bust waiting for the oven repair guys. they finally called...finally came.. and, have decided they must order some relay or other to fix it..... sigh.........................and, they have no clue when things will arrive ........ so, I wait. And, will just have to use my toaster oven for any baking.
