I had a private ornament swap for Christmas with my friend Veronica and she sent me some gorgeous hand made ornaments. Two origami baubles. They look so delicate and decorated with beautiful beads, A little walnut shell which she has cleverly used as a little bed for a tiny bear! And a tiny Christmas stocking that she has embroidered herself. Such delicate work . The photos don’t do them justice.
Thank you so much Veronica for your beautiful ornaments. They are all proudly hanging on my tree now.
I in return made for her this little lady whom she has named Fiona, Veronica she will sit happily on your tree. I guess she must have been a bit cramped after her long journey so you could not get her to cooperate with you π. I really enjoyed making her for you.
ahh love the creations you two made. Good to see a post here.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for visiting Sandy. I too have not been blogging or visiting much. Somehow everything seems that much more of an effort now a days. But hoping that my swap with Veronica will help me get back into things
DeleteOh, Shashi... I think the photos are great. I think they show wonderfully.
ReplyDeleteFiona still insists on hanging out on the pony wall with her new little reindeer friend ... who has never had a name. I should think one up for him ...
The only things I have made lately are the little ornaments... I haven't done
any dolls for ages. I sort of just grew away from them I guess.
The only other thing I've done is some bear heads... more or less as ornaments too. I put ruffled ribbons on them for fancy collars...
I have done a bit with some watercolour painting with a few online classes I did... but, haven't had the paints out for a couple years. Time for me to try getting busy with fun things again too....I'll post anything I do on the blog so you get to see it...if I get on with something. hahah.... I will try.
Maybe we should make this a tradition... and, I should get busy now for next Christmas...
hugs V>
Sounds like a good idea to get busy for Christmas now itself. They way things are going i will have to start early otherwise i will never complete itπ
DeleteHey i agree - i haven't been creating much at all in the way of art. Just not there yet. I'm thinking of closing out my art blog because it's been 10 years and starting a new one to get more inspired again. So I get it -...
ReplyDeleteTell me about it Sandy. I have a few projects sitting on my table since two years.
