Out and about....

I am sure there is no need to tell you where these pictures were taken. Have been painting outdoors. The weather was quite pleasant today and not so windy like last week. Inspite of all the sneezing and sniffing due to the pollen, I did enjoy the day as the view was stunning in that light. The day turned out quite good although rain was forecaste. I didn't take my camera with me. It was because I find it difficult to keep an eye on everything while I am painting. So I had to make do with my mobile phone hence the pictures are not great. Anyway it was a lovely way to start the weekend. Have a lovely weekend all.

New Project

Just trying out a new project that was given in the free digital version of Cloth Paper and Scissors. It is a project by Pam Carriker. I am not good at following instructions so I find myself doing things. Lets hope I don't mess it up. But I made a mistake of sticking that piece of paper without cutting it out so now I have to improvise and make it look better lol! Any ideas to get that piece of paper out without tearing it?

Things I have been doing....

Friday was a beautiful day and we went out to a park in London to do some painting. I have started my painting classes again. I am a bit rusty so I was struggling a quite a bit. This is supposed to be a tree and some plants lol!

This is the park we were in and you can see from the shade how sunny it was.

Today we went on a drive and ended up in Tetbury. This building was an old Toll house..There was some sort of local artists exhibition going on in there. Didn't stay around too long as it was freezing and windy.

Below is the spire of the church in Tetbury which I took from the car as we approached the town.

Most of my Bank holiday went in gardening. Hopefully I shall have some flowers to show you when they start blooming.

Treasures of the deep

I am always so facinated by the different colours of pearls one can find. I love pearls even though I don't wear any jewelry in pearls or for that matter I don't wear much jewelry or own much. So this time when I found these treasures a project started taking shape in my mind. You will have to wait for sometime for me to show anything regarding that as I am busy finishing a doll. Sorry can't show you the doll either as it is for a challenge. All I can say is that I hope it will be magical for the lucky doll that will have it.

Reading Linda's post just reminded me to show you my Easter cactus which is blooming now.

and these are some lovely flowers . I am not a good photographer like Linda so forgive the quality of the pictures.

I think this one is the prettiest. The colours look almost as though they are painted on it. Can' t remember what the name of the flower is.

My Dotees

In Dollstreet doll club we are doing a swap on Dotee dolls. The rules are as follows 1. The Dotee must have a fabric body, a hanging loop, and a 'tail'. 2. Make one to three dolls to trade. 3. Make the doll body between 3" and 6" long and no clay face. So this is what I did. I am not sure if they are what they should be but I liked this shape and made the dolls. They did not turn out as I had planned either but that is not surprising either lol! Oh I just realised that I have to add a handmade charm to it. So will do that later.

Beach Front

Hello everybody. I am back and hope you all are well. I shall catch up with you all over the next few days. In the meantime here are some pictures on the beach front in Chennai. People come here in the evenings to get some fresh air and to get away from the oppressive heat in the city during the evenings. This doggy was oblivious to my presence and to a million others while he took his nap on the beach. Corn being roasted.

I liked these flower arrangements so thought I'd share these quickly. Tried to take the shot without the security guard but he kept coming into the picture I just about got it but could not miss his feet lol! Sorry for the grainy pictures as I took them with my mobile.

Summer time

It is hot hot hot here... thought I'd just share this picture I took of the sun from the little garden that we have at the side. It is a sun trap area and gets really hot when the sun it high up on the sky. Sorry the picture is not great as I took it with my mobile phone.
